In the chapter, Encyclopedia Brown and the Case of Mrs. Washington's Diary by Donald J. Sobol, Encyclopedia tries to solve the case about whether the diary is real or not. Diaries are places where people often write down their most private thoughts. It is also the place where people write about special events and/or people who are important in their lives. Students are asked to think about a special time and/or important person in their life and then create a diary entry telling about this time and/or person. This is a creative activity which will strengthen writing skills. A graphic organizer is included.
